Communities for Life Golf Tournament Recap
We are so thankful to all of our golfers and sponsors who made the inaugural Communities for Life Annual Golf Tournament possible. We had an outstanding turnout for the tournament on September 13th at Carnmoney in Calgary. To celebrate the event, the talented Communities for Life bakery class made this beautifully detailed cake!
New Project Begins in Manchay
Because of the incredible generosity from the golf tournament, we have raised $20,000 towards our newest project! This means we can begin immediate construction on the third floor of the Life Resource Center in Manchay. The new floor will give us the ability to host more classes with more students.
If you would like to partner with us to reach our final goal of $30,000, consider donating by clicking here (indicate “school” in the “other” option).
You can also send a cheque payable to:

New Organic Pest Control for Manchay Garden
As the Communities for Life gardening class starts planting their vegetables, our team is implementing a new organic fertilizing routine. Previously, we used hanging CDs and sticky coloured paper to ward off pests. Now, students place plastic cups over the seeds to protect them from pests as a much more effective and organic pest control method.
