Our First House!

Over the last few years, Communities for Life conducted extensive research and planning in the area of developing earthquake-resistant, lightweight, and affordable housing in Manchay. In May 2022, we added four trade programs, including main construction trades needed to build a 500 sq. ft. home. The four trades taught are electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and steel studs/drywall. After a year of preparation, we are pleased to announce the construction of our first model home in Manchay! The workers are current and former trades students of the C4L programs, and we use local materials to support local businesses. 

We are so excited to work with this local community to find affordable housing solutions. Thank you for your support with this project. Together, we can give a struggling community the power to flourish.
