Graduation Celebrations!

Over the last two months, we have celebrated with many students as they graduated from our gardening, baking, and trades courses. With each program, our goal is to train, equip, and empower locals in Manchay, Peru, to become self-sustaining with transferable skills to earn an income and provide for their families. Please join us in celebrating with these students!

This was our largest class yet for the Communities for Life gardening program (pictured above)! Here, graduates celebrate with their families after completing the six-month course. During their training, the students seed, nurture, and harvest up to four rounds of 23 types of vegetables.

Our first-ever electrical class graduated in early January. For their final practicum, these students worked on re-wiring the electrical system at the church in the Life Resource Center.

We celebrated with our first class of drywall graduates, who now have the skills to find construction jobs in the local area.

At the end of 2022, our first cabinetry class graduated as well. This team of students built and remodeled several cabinets in the Life Resource Center.

We also celebrated with this group of women as they graduated from the bakery course. These six women finished their baking course by baking these decadent cakes for various local celebrations.
