C4L Golf Tournament - Our Photo Story

The inaugural Communities for Life Golf Tournament was a huge success! Here is a recap of the sold-out event.

Please note all photos were taken before the new provincial COVID-19 restrictions were implemented.

The Communities for Life golf tournament was held on September 13, 2021, at Carnmoney Golf and Country Club in Calgary, Alberta. Situated just south of the city, Carnmoney offers picturesque views of the Rocky Mountains and boasts a challenging British-style course.

Our players had a great day playing the course, meeting new friends, and networking. We are so thankful to all of our sponsors who helped make the event a success!

We began the tournament with a welcome message, and, as a new tradition, sang the Canadian national anthem together.

The players were also entertained by the Tuesday in Blue band and country music star, George Canyon.

Jack and Alvina Neufeld, founders of the Neufeld Foundation and Communities for Life, enjoyed the day and the opportunity to share about the work their organization is doing in Peru.

The event closed with a banquet where the Neufeld's shared exciting news. As part of ongoing sustainable projects, Communities for Life will be adding space to the Life Resource Centre in Manchay, where they can offer more sustainable business classes to the citizens of Manchay.

During the banquet, attendees were surprised with a live Zoom call with the Communities for Life bakery class in Manchay! To celebrate the golf tournament, the bakery class had baked and decorated a cake commemorating the event.

We are happy to announce that the golf tournament raised $20,000 that will allow Communities for Life to begin immediate construction on the third floor of the Life Resource Centre.

Our sold-out event received tremendous feedback from sponsors, players, and Carnmoney themselves. We are looking forward to seeing you next year!
