Communities for Life held its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, September 11th. Here is a recap of this year’s sold-out event.
This successful tournament saw 144 golfers and 37 sponsors come together for a great day at Carnmoney Golf Course in Calgary. Golfers enjoyed playing a great game while learning about the work of Communities for Life.
We are so thankful to the entire team at Carnmoney Golf and Country Club for their hospitality and friendly cooperation with our organization. A special thank you is extended to sponsors, golfers, and all the volunteers.
Golfers enjoyed beautiful weather throughout the day. The event included a Texas Scramble tournament followed by a dinner and ceremony.
During the ceremony, Communities for Life founder Jack Neufeld shared with attendees about all of the work being done in Manchay, Peru. Attendees heard first-hand how last year’s donations helped Manchay locals learn construction skills and put their knowledge to work building our first-ever home.
Exciting overview of our upcoming project: innovative fog catchers for drinking water. Funds from this year’s tournament will help us use fog catcher technology to turn fog into clean drinking water (as shown in the video below).
Our sold-out event received tremendous feedback from sponsors, players, and Carnmoney themselves. We are looking forward to seeing you next year!
